The following obituary for Patrick Eulon Chambers, is on file in the Gordon Browning Museum and Genealogical Library, located in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee: CHAMBERS TIES HELD TUESDAY Former Resident Dies in Oklahoma Last Friday After Prolonged Illness of Tuberculosis "A prolonged illness of tuberculosis proved fatal to Patrick Chambers, who died last Friday in a hospital in Talihilla, Okla., where he had been for some time seeking to regain his health. Death was due to tuberculosis. The remains were returned here and following funeral services Tuesday afternoon at Shiloh by Dr. George L. Johnson of this city were laid to rest in the church graveyard. Chambers was the son of former sheriff S. J. Chambers. His wife and four children were at the home of her father, John B. Thomas in the Ninth district at the time of the death of the husband and father. Surviving besides the widow are the four children, Madeline, Irene, Christine and Bill Chambers, a brother, Elon Chambers of Memphis, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Brown of Lansing, Mich., and a half sister."
