On his World War II draft card, he listed Montrose as the place of his birth. Patrick Henry Malloy was the fourth child of nine born to John William Malloy-Mulloy and Catherine Agnes (Cassie) Cunningham. Their last name was changed to be spelled Mulloy about 1906. Patrick Henry Malloy was the fourth child of nine born to John William Malloy-Mulloy and Catherine Agnes (Cassie) Cunningham. Their last name was changed to be spelled Mulloy about 1906. Patrick Henry Mulloy married Anna Catherine McDonnell on Febuary 12, 1919 in Rapid City, South Dakota and they had eight children. Their oldest son Patrick Henry Jr. died at 7 years old in 1927 from a heart condition / he was considered a 'blue baby' when he was born. Their daughter Catherine had mental health issues and lived with several family members before she was placed in the State Hospital in Redfield where she died. She had lived with her mother's family and then Great aunt Susie's family and also my Grandma Frances Mulloy Lewis (dad's family) when young. His wife, Anna, died when their youngest Bernard was only about six months old. The youngest two lived with other family members for several years and Patrick Henry had the older children placed in The Little Flower Catholic Orphanage, aka Presentation Children's Home, that Patrick then worked at to be near them. My dad was always so proud of how hard Patrick Henry worked to keep his family together as much as he could. The orphanage was ran by Presentation nuns in Turton, SD until a fire destroyed it in about 1932. It was later rebuilt in Sioux Falls. Patrick Henry Mulloy died on September 24, 1984 in Dell Rapids, Minnehaha Co., South Dakota. He is buried at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Montrose, McCook Co., South Dakota. Patrick & Anna's eight (8) children: 1 Patrick Henry Mulloy, Jr. (1920-1927) 2 Anna May Mulloy (1921-2011) m: Delphin William Reecy 3 Maurice John Mulloy (1923-2008) m: Violet Dangel 4 Charles Edward Mulloy (1924-2014) m: Anastasia "Ann" Dongel & Grace Dunham. 5 Joseph James Mulloy (1925-2003) m: Violet Jennett Dewald 6 Patricia Henrietta Mulloy (1927-2007) m: James Terrence Anderson 7 Catherine Frances Mulloy (1928-1959) - never married 8 Bernard Sylvester Mulloy (1929-1986) - was a priest for several years, (Fr. Columban Mulloy) and he never married after leaving the priesthood.
