Description	:	Patrick John O'Connor, son of Patrick and Mary O'Connor, was born April 5, 1889, at McCook, Neb. At the age of ten years, he moved with his parents to Grafton, Neb., where he resided until February, 1948, when he retired from farming and moved to York. He was united in marriage to Arlene Murphy, October 22, 1912, and to this union were born five children. Following a three week illness, Mr. O'Connor passed away August 14, 1948, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln, where he had undergone surgery and medical treatment. He leaves to mourn his... He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife; four sons, Francis of Flint, Mich., Harold of Denver, Paul and Ralph of Fairmont; one daughter, Helen, of Omaha; one grandson, Patrick John, of Denver; three brothers, Mark of Grafton, James of Des Moines, Ia., and Charles of Seattle; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Nehe, Mrs. Julia Carrig, Mrs. Margaret O'Neill, and Miss Marcella O'Connor, all of Omaha; besides a host of friends throughout the community. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock, August 16, 1948, at St. Joseph's Church, York, with Msgr. L. L. Mandeville officiating. Interment was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, York. During his many years of residence in Fillmore county, Mr. O'Connor was active in civic affairs and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. The Nebraska Signal 19 August 1948
