Description	:	Patrick L Saucier, age 78, passed away in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, May 6, 2008 surrounded by family at the Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Berlin on April 25, 1930, a son of the late Herbert and Marguerite (Labbe) Saucier. He attended local schools, and was a 1948 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He was born in Berlin on April 25, 1930, a son of the late Herbert and Marguerite (Labbe) Saucier. He attended local schools, and was a 1948 graduate of Notre Dame High School. Patrick was married to Rita Rivard on January 15, 1951, and the two raised four children. He was employed by the Brown Co., later known as James River as a lab technician retiring in 1992 with over 43 years of service. Patrick was a member of the Eagles Club and the Millsfield Club and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and hockey and also enjoyed drawing and reading the newspaper. In earlier years, Patrick and his wife traveled to Hawaii and California, Florida and Las Vegas and to Oregon to visit family. His greatest love was for his family and for his grandchildren, whom he enjoyed capturing on video whenever possible. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Rita Saucier; his daughters, Patricia Collopy and her husband Charles of Lake Hoosegow, Oregon, Elaine Martineau and her husband Ray of Gorham, and Janet Mercier and her husband Jeff of Berlin. He is also survived by his brothers, Lionel Saucier of Berlin, Alphe Saucier and his wife Therese of Errol, Albert Saucier of Berlin, Paul Saucier and his wife Evelyn of Littleton and by his sister Jeanne Tremblay of Corpus Christi, Texas. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren Lauren, Sean, Jennifer and Jason, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as by his brothers Raymond and Alcide Saucier and by his son Ronald Saucier. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday, May 8, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin using the High Street entrance. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9, at 2:30 pm at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street in Berlin with the Reverend Richard Roberge officiating. Interment will immediately follow the services in St Kieran Cemetery, Hutchins Street in Berlin.
