Paul was born January 5, 1937 in Decatur, NE to Paul and Evelyn (French) Leriger. He was a 1955 graduate of Bancroft High School in Bancroft, NE. He was a 1955 graduate of Bancroft High School in Bancroft, NE. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Jan. 4, 1956 to July 9, 1959. Paul moved to Fremont in 1959. Paul married Joanne Gentrup on January 4,1964 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, NE. Paul worked as a car salesman for Gene Steffy's in Fremont for 20 years. He previously was employed at Anheuser Busch as a delivery driver, for Moostash Joe Tours as a shuttle driver and at Hormel's for 9 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, the Knights of Columbus Council #1497 and member of Father Leo Raus Assembly 4th Degree. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 and the V.F.W. Post #854 of Fremont. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and tractor pulls. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; sons, Joey and Steve Leriger of Fremont, Rick Leriger and special friend, Deb Kerwin of Fremont, NE and Ryan and wife, Karla Leriger of Omaha; sister, Claudeen and husband, John Bullock of Fredericksburg, VA; 5 grandchildren, Cooper, Ty, Sam, Layton and Kristian Leriger. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jimmy. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Friday, June 10, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Father David Belt will officiate. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation on Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 PM to 7 PM at the Church. Visitation continues on Friday at church 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Fremont with military honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post #854 and American Legion Post #20. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church and to Archbishop Bergan Elementary School." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
