Description	:	The funeral for Paul Benjamin "Bitz" Anderson, 63, Marion, was held on Saturday, June 18 in the Marion High School with Reverend Norm Winkelman officiating. Mr. Anderson died June 14, 1994. Paul Benjamin Anderson was born November 1, 1930 on the home farm located in LaMoure County near Marion, the son of Charles and Mabel (Maisel) Anderson. He was educated in the country schools and at Marion High School. After high school he entered the U.S. Navy and served form 1947 until 1949 in Italy, France, Gibraltar and Monte Carlo. Paul Benjamin Anderson was born November 1, 1930 on the home farm located in LaMoure County near Marion, the son of Charles and Mabel (Maisel) Anderson. He was educated in the country schools and at Marion High School. After high school he entered the U.S. Navy and served form 1947 until 1949 in Italy, France, Gibraltar and Monte Carlo. He returned to the Marion area and married DeLoris Ketterling December 9, 1950 at Moorhead, MN. They settled on the home farm and have farmed there since. Bitz also owned and operated the Anderson Brothers Sand and Gravel Co. Bitz was a lifetime member of the VFW, President and board member of the Memorial Park Country Club of Grand Rapids, and Ducks Unlimited. He had also served on the board of Computerland Golf Tournaments. Survivors include his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Monte and Tonie, Valley City; one daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Bruce Haseleu, Litchville; 7 grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave and Helen, and Bill, all of Marion; Jerome and Liz, Buena Vista, CO; Roger and JoAnn, Littleton, CO; Joel and Kathy, Jamestown; Daniel, Salida, CO; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Darlene and Walter Cox, Aurora, MO; and Nina Anderson, Fessenden, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Joan an brothers, Eugene and Jack. Published in the Litchville Bulletin, Litchville, North Dakota, June 22, 1994.
