Paul DeLisle Mazyck On Thursday, Feb. 2, 1897, at 6 p.m., the spirit of Mr. Paul Desile "P. D." Mazyek took its flight to "that bourne from which no traveler has yet returned." The deceased had been sick but a short while when tht summons to cross the dark river came, and, surrounded by wife and loved ones, he passed over to "rest under the shade of the trees." Paul DeLisle Mazyck On Thursday, Feb. 2, 1897, at 6 p.m., the spirit of Mr. Paul Desile "P. D." Mazyek took its flight to "that bourne from which no traveler has yet returned." The deceased had been sick but a short while when tht summons to cross the dark river came, and, surrounded by wife and loved ones, he passed over to "rest under the shade of the trees." Mr. Mazyck had a host of friends here, who extend to his bereaved wife and parents, sisters and brothers, their deepest and most heartfelt sympathy. For a long time Mr. Mazyck had been a trusted and honored employee of the Southern Railroad, and his remains came here to the superintendent's car. The following relatives and friends made the sad journey with the grief-stricken widow and her bright and handsome little son: The parents of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Mazyck: his sisters, Miss Sue Mazyck, Miss Nettie Mazyck, Miss Kittie Mazyck and Miss ______ Mazyck; his brother, Mr. Pierre Mazyck; Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Livingstone, Jr., Mr. J.. B. Livingstone, Mrs. W, C, Bennet. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, at 3:30, Feb. 2, 1897, at the Trinity Church, by the Rev Edward F. McCrady, and the interment was at Long Cane Cemetery. The following friends acted as pall-bearers: Messrs. C. D. Brown, A. B. Morse, S. G. Thompson, A. W. Smith, J. Allen Smith, J. K. Glenn, Hampton Jones and M. P. DeBruhl. Hw was 40 years of age at his demise. (Original obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
