He received his education in rural schools in the Wolbach area and grew to manhood in that area. On June 26, 1915 he was united in marriage to Carrie Petersen at St. Paul. Read More	The Wolbach Messenger, February 11, 1971, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Paul E. Hansen, son of Nels and Kathrina Christensen Hansen was born July 11, 1888 near Wolbach. He received his education in rural schools in the Wolbach area and grew to manhood in that area. On June 26, 1915 he was united in marriage to Carrie Petersen at St. Paul. The couple farmed near Greeley and Palmer prior to moving to a farm in the Cushing area in 1939. They later farmed south of St. Paul for a number of years. Mr. Hansen suffered a heart attack in 1955 and due to his ill health the couple retired and moved into St. Paul in 1957. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen celebrated their Golden Wedding in June of 1965. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of St. Paul. Paul was a devoted husband and father and was beloved by his relatives and many friends. He passed from this life on Monday, February 1, 1971 at his home at the age of 82 years. Surviving are his wife, Carrie of St. Paul; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Messina of Easton, Pennsylvania; a son, Jimmie of St. Paul; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Engelberg Larsen and Mrs. Pauline Wagner, both of St. Paul; other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding in death were an infant daughter, Mary, parents, three brothers, Burt, Albert and Louie.
