KLIEGLE DIES WHILE FISHING A 47-year-old Ottumwan was stricken with a fatal heart attack about 7:30 p.m. Friday while fishing. He was Paul Edward Kliegle. He died while fishing in the Skunk River four miles north of Martinsburg. His home is at 531 W. Mechanic. An employee of John Morrell & Co., he worked in the pork cut department for 16 years. He was born in Connersville, Wis., Sept. 9, 1913. His parents were John and Mary Kliegle. He belonged to Ottumwa Aerie No. 114, Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are three sons; Walter Kliegle of Ottumwa, Frank Kliegle, in the Air Force in San Antonio, Tex., and Robert Kliegle, Beacon; three daughters, Mrs. Belva Pettit of Lomita, Calif., Mrs. Betty Lewis of Rose Hill, and Miss. Beverly Kliegle of Beacon; six grandchildren; three brothers, Matt Kliegle of El Reno, Okla., Charles Kliegle of Rice Lake, Wis., and William Kliegle of Pembine, Wis.; Three sisters, Mrs. Anna Whisler of Kernville, Ore., Mrs Mary Harnisch, Boyceville, Wis., and Mrs. Rose Turner, Minot, N.D.; his foster father: Frank Kliegle of New Sharon; two foster brothers, Leonard and Peter Kliegle of New Sharon; and one sister by adoption, Mrs. Martha Wymore, New Sharon. A son Gilbert, his parents and his foster mother all preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, Rev. L.C. Card of first Church of the Open Bible will be in charge. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Paul was adopted by Frank & Rose Beadle Kliegle at age 7. His biological parents were John & Mary Lenartz Kliegle. John was Frank's uncle, a brother to Frank's father Joseph. Frank Beadle is at memorial #79480316 & Rose is at memorial #79479853.
