Fred and Louise League Williams. Paul was a graduate of Pendleton High School and Clemson University with a degree in Agriculture Economics. Read More	Paul Fredrick Williams, Jr., 68, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Greenville Memorial Prisma Health. Born July 6, 1952, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late P. Fred and Louise League Williams. Paul was a graduate of Pendleton High School and Clemson University with a degree in Agriculture Economics. He retired from the Clemson University Agronomy Department where he worked with soybean breeding. As a testament to his devotion and professionalism in his job, he had a soybean variety named in his honor. He loved family, friends, and farming. He was a devoted caregiver for his mother for many years. Tractors were his passion, and his knowledge of tractors and farm machinery was known far and wide. Paul was beloved by all who knew him and blessed with a true servant's heart. He was a friend to many and a pillar of strength for his family. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. Survivors include his brother, Charles W. Williams and wife, Christee; nephew, Joshua Wade Williams; niece, Ashley Williams Zimmerman and husband Dawson; great niece, Emilia Louise Zimmerman; special family, Lujack and Sara Jane Orr; Bradley and JJ Orr and their daughters, Sara and Julia; Ashleigh and Bucky Cole and their children, Bailey, Lujack, and Derham; special friends, Jim and Mary Nell Capell; lifelong friend, Dan Hunnicutt; and a number of cousins. His pride and joy were Josh and Ashley, and more recently little Emilia. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jason Webb and Dr. Josh Hunt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital and Dr. Derbas and staff at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM), 1202 South Murray Avenue, Anderson, SC 29624, or Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 5150 Gentry Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
