Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory's Catholic church. The Rev. Joseph Cramer officiated. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kinsley Mortuary. Burial was in St. Gregory's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Rombeck, Leo "Gus" Sandmann, Mike Hogan, Norbert Schneider, Mike Rombeck and James Wassenberg. He was born June 30, 1907, at Blue Rapids, the son of Matt and Hannah Reynolds Rombeck. He attended Elm Creek School. He was born, raised and farmed on a farm eight miles southeast of Marysville, until he retired in 1980 and moved to Marysville. He was a member of St. Gregory's Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers and sisters, Alva, Cecelia Schneider, William, Rose (Jenkins) Winterstein, Lucile, Charles and Dorothy. Survivors are his wife, Madelyn Rombeck, of the home in Marysville; a son, Gary P. Rombeck, Colorado Springs; a brother, James Rombeck, Junction City; and one grandson. ---
