He was born June 9, 1924 in Bunker Hill, IN to the late Ira G. and Lottie (Moore) Coleman. On October 22, 1949 he married Betty Ruth Arthur who preceded him in death on December 3, 2011. He was born June 9, 1924 in Bunker Hill, IN to the late Ira G. and Lottie (Moore) Coleman. On October 22, 1949 he married Betty Ruth Arthur who preceded him in death on December 3, 2011. Paul was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School and went on to serve his country with the Army during World War II. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 25 years and was also a member of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN, as well as an active member in Senior 5. He is survived by his son, Bruce G. (Kathy) Coleman, Portland, TN; daughters, Diann R. (Tom) Parr, California, and Melanie A. (Roy Smith) Waters, Tennessee; grandchildren, Maria (Rick) Castro, Antonia Salazar, Sandy (Chris) Ross, Angelia Coleman, Amanda Coleman, Jacob Coleman, Shane (Elizabeth) Stuart, Dawn (Stuart) Montgomery, Justin (Crystal) Singer; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Donovan, Tanner, Amaya, Shawn, Sara, Shelby, Noah, Cole, Allissa, Monica, Meagan, and Breanna; two great-great-grandchildren, Cali and Cami; a sister, Norma Spangler, Kokomo; a sister-in-law, Mary Lovelace; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; a grandson, Lorenzo Salazar; Brothers, Walter R. Coleman and Harold Coleman; Sisters, Pearl Mays, Mabel Hand, Ruth Richards, and Dorothy Coleman. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday August 19, 2013 at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with pastor Joyce Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Barnett Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Paul's name may be made to the Senior Citizen Group. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
