Description	:	Paul Keith Allen, 75, of rural Bloomfield, died Oct. 30, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was born March 2, 1936, in Ottumwa to Shickery and Alma Muldoon Allen. He married his high school sweetheart, Charlene Baker, Sept. 25, 1957. Keith graduated from Davis County High School in 1955 and started working for Iowa Southern Utilities Company, retiring in 1996. Keith served in the Army Reserves for eitht years. Read More	Paul Keith Allen, 75, of rural Bloomfield, died Oct. 30, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was born March 2, 1936, in Ottumwa to Shickery and Alma Muldoon Allen. He married his high school sweetheart, Charlene Baker, Sept. 25, 1957. Keith graduated from Davis County High School in 1955 and started working for Iowa Southern Utilities Company, retiring in 1996. Keith served in the Army Reserves for eitht years. He purchased the family farm in 1972 and raised Black Angus cattle. Along with his wife and children, he built their family home in 1974. He enjoyed farming, carpentry, working with computers, history, gardening, working in his shop, and most of all spending time with his family. He was affiliated with the Drakesville United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife; a son, Dennis Allen of Bloomfield; two daughters, Cindy(Chuck)Riggenbach, Sherry(Kenneth)Padget, both of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, Alisha and Derek Allen, Shea, Trevor(Jordan), Dane, and Bree Riggenbach, Brandon and Travis Padget; two great-grandchildren, Aliya Riggenbach, Kinsley Allen; a brother, Leo Wayne Allen of Bloomfield; and two sisters, Carol White, Joy Rowe, both of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson, Brody Allen-Hopkins. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin after 9 am Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 5-6:30 pm at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Davis County Dollars for Scholars.
