Born in Dalzell, he was a son of the late Andrew Oxendine and the late Martha Benenhaley Oxendine. Mr. Oxendine was a member of Longbranch Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Glasscock Trucking for 36 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Oxendine. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Longbranch Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the home of his sister, Elaine Miller, 30 Warwick Court, Sumter. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
