Description	:	Paul L. Hendrickson, 78, of Kearney, died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at CHI Health – Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Paul was born on April 20, 1938 in Norton, KS to Ivan and Elsie (Hamilton) Hendrickson. He attended school at Upland, NE and graduated with the class of 1956. He married Linda Liljehorn on June 30, 1972 in Minden, NE. Shortly after, they moved to Guernsey, WY and eventually made their home in Kearney, NE. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to go fishing. Paul and Linda enjoyed Square Dancing and were members of the Kearney and Minden Square Dance Clubs. Paul founded the Ft Kearny Civil War Reenactments 26 years ago. They remained very active in the Living History Reenactments at Ft. Kearny. Paul was recently awarded as an Admiral of the Great Navy of Nebraska. It is Nebraska’s highest honor and an honorary title bestowed upon individuals by approval of the Governor of Nebraska. This was an accomplishment of which he was very proud. Surviving relatives include his Wife, Linda Hendrickson of Kearney; Daughters, Janet Kleen and husband Mike of San Antonio, TX, and Barb Zimmerman and husband Duane of Overland Park, KS; Son, Terry Hendrickson and wife Teresa of Pleasanton, NE; Grandchildren, Brittany Zimmerman, Kyle Zimmerman, Brooke Zimmerman, Kasey Hendrickson, Paige Hendrickson, Kelsey Welburn and Keira Welburn; Paul was preceded in death by his Parents and Granddaughter, Kylie Hendrickson.
