Paul is survived by his brother Jack (Nancy) Cowgill, Hillsboro, OH; son Bruce (Theresa) Cowgill and granddaughters Alexa and Mackenzie, Dewitt, MI; son Brent (Kristen) Cowgill and grandsons Christopher and Andrew, Collegeville, PA; stepson Tom (Kathleen) Redmond II, Anchorage, AK, and step grandchildren, Colin Redmond, Eugene, OR; Sabrina Konecky, Samantha and Lindsey Redmond with step-great-grandchildren, Jonah and Aliyah Profeta and Brynn Garvey, Anchorage, AK; brother in law Kurt Ketchum, Chicago, IL; niece Tina Ketchum, Naperville, IL; and Ohio relatives. Friends included Judy Jacobs, Bette Young, Carol Mahoney, George Petchok, the late Robert Evans, Art Wells, John Kleber, Richard Vance, Eleanor Schaff, Robert and Johanna McMichael. An enthusiastic Buckeye fan, Paul earned a BBA from Ohio State University Fisher School of Business in 1954 after attending Capital University his first year in Columbus. He was treasurer of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He served in the US Army in Tokyo, Japan, and Houston, TX. In 1968, he received an MBA in management from the University of Cincinnati. He instructed at Northwestern University and was a brain research donor to Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Miami. He worked in auditing for Price Waterhouse in NYC and Chicago before being employed by Brunswick Corp. investment department. In 1971, Paul moved from Mt. Prospect, IL, to become vice-president and trust officer for National City Bank in downtown Cleveland, OH, where he raised his family in North Olmsted. In 1990, he opened the National City Trust office in Naples, FL, until retirement. After a 25 year successful investment banking career, he became a private consultant. A Royal member of Imperial Golf Club, Paul was past president of Weybridge Condo Assn. While residing at St. Lucia Tower, he belonged to The Club Pelican Bay. As a member of the Naples Philharmonic League, Paul sponsored a "Party of Note". Other memberships were Ohio State Alumni Club, The English Speaking Union, The Anchorage, AK, World Affairs Council, and The Captain Cook Athletic Club. Through The Rotary Club of Naples, he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by his wife Millie. At the Naples United Church of Christ, Paul was on the Board of Trustees and sang in the choir including for the Avow Hospice concert and at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, with Dr. Becky Weese. He also sang with Dr. Brice Gerlach and Dr. James Cochran. He began singing at age 8 in Falls Creek Friends Church, built on a section of the Cowgill family farm in Hillsboro, OH. Now he will dance and sing with the angels.
