Description	:	s/o Percy and Marion (Cox) Byrne; h/o Carolyn DeFrates, whom he married on September 21, 1963. He graduated from Woodsville High School. Between his Junior and Senior year in high school he began working for the State of New Hampshire with the bridge crew. Paul entered the US Army on March 3, 1955 and served until his honorable discharge on March 1, 1957. Paul entered the US Army on March 3, 1955 and served until his honorable discharge on March 1, 1957. Upon his return home, he continued his work with the State of New Hampshire DOT, working his way up the ranks to retire as Supervisor of Bridge Construction, a career that lasted 42 years. This job provided him the privilege and opportunity to work on all the state bridges from the Seacoast to the White Mountains and everywhere in between, and to also be part of keeping the Old Man of the Mountain secure. Carolyn predeceased Paul earlier this year on February 21, 2017.
