He was born October 25, 1905, at Wapello, Iowa, the son of James Robert and Elizabeth Kallenberger Edwards. He married Marguerite Kerr, July 8, 1925, at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Edwards attended the Wapello schools and was a button cutter for several years. Later he went into farming and farmed in the Morning Sun and Mediapolis areas, until retiring and moving to Columbus City in 1976. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Columbus City. He was born October 25, 1905, at Wapello, Iowa, the son of James Robert and Elizabeth Kallenberger Edwards. He married Marguerite Kerr, July 8, 1925, at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Edwards attended the Wapello schools and was a button cutter for several years. Later he went into farming and farmed in the Morning Sun and Mediapolis areas, until retiring and moving to Columbus City in 1976. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Columbus City. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Marjorie Sodemann of Champaign, Illinois, three sons, LeRoy and Raymond Edwards of Morning Sun and Jesse Edwards of Burlington, Iowa; fourteen granchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the last member of a family of seven children. Funeral services were Saturday, April 10, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. The Reverend Richard Farris officiated. Donna Belle Hughes was the organist. The six grandsons, Scott Sodemann, Steve Sodemann, Kris Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Leslie Edwards and Kirk Edwards, were the casket bearers.
