The church filled to overflowing, was beautiful with a solid mass of floral pieces covering the sides and back of the rostrum from ceiling to floor, a wall of the same across the entire front. The services were in charge of Rev. L. E. Jones, pastor, Mrs. Chas. Washburn sang "On Higher Ground" and "Crossing the Bar, " with Mrs. Clara Wright at the piano. The pall bearers were his five brothers-in-law, Paul Pinkney, Coulee Dam; John Neff, Pateros, Sidney Braker, Brewster; Charles Moore, Leahy and Blaine Hodgens of Pateros. Interment was in the Bridgeport cemetery. Born at Bridgeport Paul R. Six, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Six was born in Bridgeport, June 5, 1902. He attended grade school and high school here but as the Bridgeport high school was not accredited at that time, he finished high school at Reardon, later attending Oregon Agricultural College at Corvallis. He was married to Alice M. Pinkney at Pateros, November 28, 1928. To them two sons were born, Allan Conner, now nine and Gerald, seven. Paul Six was killed in an auto accident, November 14 at Monitor. Besides his widow and sons, he leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Six of Brewster; two brothers, Forrest of Hillsboro, Oregon and Ben of Bridgeport; three sisters, Mrs. Laverne Ramsey, of White Bluffs, Wash; Mrs. Juanita Thornton, Klamath Falls, Oregon and Mrs. Eleanor Moore, Leahy. A sister, Mrs. Mildred Braker, passed away November 5. He was in the employ of the State Highway Department and more than 60 officials and workers from Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan counties and Olympia attended his funeral, as did a group of former Reardon classmates and friends. His kind and friendly disposition made him a favorite with all with whom he came in contact and many mourn his untimely death.
