Mr. Peppel was born February 21, 1936 in Lisbon, a son of the late Archie and Arline (Cline) Peppel, and had lived his entire life in this area. He worked for many years as a purchasing agent for Chester Hoist until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Lisbon First Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon. Peppel, Sr., 81, of Timberline Drive, quietly passed away at 10:15am, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center. Mr. Peppel was born February 21, 1936 in Lisbon, a son of the late Archie and Arline (Cline) Peppel, and had lived his entire life in this area. He worked for many years as a purchasing agent for Chester Hoist until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Lisbon First Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon. In his free time he enjoyed horseracing and playing golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marlene Faye (Bosel) Peppel, whom he married July 14, 1953; sons, Paul Peppel, Jr., Richard Peppel, Dave Peppel, and Brian Peppel; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Following his wishes, no calling hours will be observed. Services will be held at 10am, Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Lisbon Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Douglas Shoaf officiating. Inurnment will follow in the cemetery columbarium. Arrangements are in the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Source Eells 10-2-2017
