Paulette Ann Langbehn, the daughter of Ralph and Josephine (Fernholz) Langbehn, was born on January 14, 1952 in Huron, SD. She attended school and graduated from Wolsey High School in 1970. Paulette also attended Huron College earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business. She was a stay at home mom and farmwife for many years. Paulette married Daniel Kahre on July 25, 1970 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wolsey, SD. From this union were born three children: Melissa, Chad, and Bret. Paulette was employed at B&K Locker, Farmer’s and Merchant’s Bank, First National Bank, and the United States Postal Service. She retired in January 2015. Paulette was active in her children’s lives participating in their various activities. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, playing cards, baking with her grandchildren and attending their many activities. Paulette was an active Warbirds fan. She was also involved with the JCettes, and Onward Wolsey. Grateful for having shared in Paulette’s life are her husband, Daniel of Wolsey, SD; her two sons: Chad (Kristie) Kahre and Bret (Saren) Kahre both of Wolsey, SD; eight grandchildren: Hilary (Dustin), Taylor, and Cortney Sprecher, Jayden, Jacob, Ethan, Kaitlyn, and Clay Kahre; sister, Patricia Hopkins; brother, Gregory (Kathleen) Langbehn; sister-in-law, Janice (Lyle) Babcock; brother-in-law, Alan (Lorraine) Kahre; and many nieces and nephews. Paulette was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Sprecher; her parents, Ralph and Josephine Langbehn; sister, Mary Ann Mehlburg; brother, Don Langbehn; mother and father-in-law, Elaine and Herbert Kahre; and many aunts and uncles.
