Description	:	Pauline Elizabeth Forrester Harberts, 87, of Gothenburg, Ne., formerly of Arnold, Ne. died Jan 13, 2006 at Gothenburg Memorial Long Term Care. She was born June 16, 1918 to Oliver C. and Nora Huffman Forrester in the sandhills of McPherson County, Ne. She was raised in Arnold and graduated from Arnold High School in 1935, continuing her education at John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Ark., and Kearney State College, Kearney, Ne. Read More	Pauline Elizabeth Forrester Harberts, 87, of Gothenburg, Ne., formerly of Arnold, Ne. died Jan 13, 2006 at Gothenburg Memorial Long Term Care. She was born June 16, 1918 to Oliver C. and Nora Huffman Forrester in the sandhills of McPherson County, Ne. She was raised in Arnold and graduated from Arnold High School in 1935, continuing her education at John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Ark., and Kearney State College, Kearney, Ne. On Aug. 20, 1938 she married Dorace R. Harberts at Kearney, Ne. To this union two daughters were born, Janie and Laurie. Dorace preceded her in death on May 19, 1995. Dorace and Pauline operated bakeries in Callaway,Ne, Wyoming, Iowa and Illinois over the years, but Arnold was home base, where they owned and operated the Arnold Bakery until 1975. She was widely known as an artist in the cake decorating field, winning awards professionally and delivering wedding cakes all over the area. She also worked for Channing Lewis doing income tax work and for the Arnold Public Schools as secretary for many years. In 1976 she moved to the Los Angeles,Ca. area and worked as an office manager for Tierra Civil Engineering. In 1985 she owned and operated her own performing arts studio for four years before retiring to Arnold in 1990 and to Gothenburg in 1993. Suvivors include Janie (Leon) Vogel of Gothenburg and Laurie Anderson of Ocean Side, Ca.; two granddaughters, Carrie (Jamie) Kimmerle of Watauga, Tx. and Alisa (Rick) Crown and children Madelyn and Rebecca of Gothenburg; two sisters, Hazel Stupplebeen of Arnold and Coralie (Steve) Mazzoni of Huntley, Il.; brother Bob (Sharon) Forrester of Arnold and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dorace and sister Ruth Miller. North Platte Telegraph 2006.
