Description	:	Pauline Biddinger Buckman, 91, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born April 6, 1919, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late David Emory and Pearl Viola Reese Biddinger. She was the wife of Ralph Gilbert Buckman Sr., who died in 1998. She began working at Mount Airy School cafeteria and later worked as the manager of the Mount Airy elementary, middle and high school cafeterias. Born April 6, 1919, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late David Emory and Pearl Viola Reese Biddinger. She was the wife of Ralph Gilbert Buckman Sr., who died in 1998. She began working at Mount Airy School cafeteria and later worked as the manager of the Mount Airy elementary, middle and high school cafeterias. She then managed the South Carroll High School cafeteria until she was promoted to director of food service for the Carroll County Public Schools System until her retirement. She was a long time member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Mount Airy, was a member of the Mount Airy Lions Club and the Mount Airy Historical Society. She, along with her husband, were awarded the Mount Airy Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award in 1995. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Ralph Gilbert Jr. and Karen DiPaulo-Buckman, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Diane Biddinger, of Sykesville; grandchildren and spouses Tracy and Matt Dunne, of Cincinnati, Todd and Kristan Buckman, of Mount Airy, Michael Buckman, of Blacksburg, Va., Nanette and David Mincin, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Sylvia DiPaulo, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; nephews and nieces and spouses Dave and Sandy Biddinger, Julie and Bill Jones, Barry and Angela Biddinger, and Brian and Nancy Biddinger; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Harrison Reese Biddinger. Interment in Prospect Cemetery
