She attended rural country school and graduated from Shell Rock High School. Pauline married Lawrence Jacobs on Februaryr 25, 1945 in the parsonage of St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville. In her retirement, Pauline volunteered at Clarksville School and at the nursing home. Pauline was a dedicated to the care of her children. Pauline was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Pauline went to be with her Lord on May 7, 2016 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilatation Center in Clarksville. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Lawrence Jacobs; her parents; son, Gary Jacobs; two sisters, Opal Freerks and Audrey Jurgens; and a brother, Darrell Nieman. Pauline is survived by: one son, Ronald Jacobs of Emmetsburg; a cousin raised by her family, Richard Lovejoy of Marble Rock and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the St. John Lutheran Church, Clarksville, with burial in the Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family of Pauline Jacobs. Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville is in charge of arrangements.
