She was born Nov. 4, 1922, near Farmington, the daughter of Herman and Anna Rose Rhody Schau. On Oct. 14, 1945, at Primrose, she married David L. Therme. He preceded her in death. She was born Nov. 4, 1922, near Farmington, the daughter of Herman and Anna Rose Rhody Schau. On Oct. 14, 1945, at Primrose, she married David L. Therme. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons: Tom (wife Jane) Therme of Iowa City, and David (wife Robin) Therme of Winfield; one daughter Patty (husband Larry) Wallingford of Farmington, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Forrest (wife Wilma) Schau of Primrose. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; three sisters: Viola Hennies, Dorothy Denly and Katharyn Moline; four brothers, Willard, Charles, Lester and Alfred Schau. She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Farmington Cemetery Association, a 64 year member of the Donnellson American Legion Auxiliary. She worked at Muntz & Kutcher Grocery Store, she was a cook at the Harmony High School for many years and the Bridge Cafe. The family will meet with friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Farmington. Graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington with Rev. Paul Rekward officiating. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Center or the Farmington EMTs.
