A native of Union, she was the widow of Leonard Sweezy and daughter of Evie Kenderick Martin of Union and the late Edward Martin. She was a member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church. A native of Union, she was the widow of Leonard Sweezy and daughter of Evie Kenderick Martin of Union and the late Edward Martin. She was a member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Milliken Co., Monarch Plant, Wallace Thomson Hospital and Oakmont Nursing Home. Also surviving are two daughters, June S. Elders and Linda S. West of Union; two sons, Eddie and Ricky Sweezy of Union; a sister, Elizabeth M. Vanderford of Union; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Mon-Aetna Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Herbert Garrett and the Rev. Bobby Crocker. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The body will be place in the church at 2 p.m. The family is at the home of her daughter, Linda S. West, 211 Webber Lake Road, Union. Memorials may be made to Mon-Aetna Baptist Church Building Fund, 1431 Lockhart Highway, Union, 29379.
