Description	:	Nellie Pauline McAllister was born on a farm west of Decatur, on September 11, 1924, to William and Pearl (Little) McAllister. She attended school in Decatur and Sioux City, Iowa, and because she had four brothers, family life included lots of football games and other sports activities. While babysitting for her younger cousins, the children of Roscoe and Marie (Wanamaker) Little, she met Ed Wanamaker. They were married October 24, 1944 in Dakota City, Nebraska. After his discharge from the Navy, they returned to Decatur, where their first child, Gayle, was born. Obituary published in the Burt County Plaindealer, Tekamah, Nebraska on November 4, 1971. Funeral services for Mrs. Edmund Wanamaker were held at the RLDS Church in Decatur, on Saturday October 30, at 2 P.M. She died October 27, at Onawa, Iowa. Officiating at the service were Elder E. J. Severyn and Elder Dale Wolf. Mrs. Wanamaker was born September 11, 1926, at Decatur. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. William McAllister. She was married to Edmund Wanamaker on October 24, 1944, in Dakota City. She had lived at Decatur, Blair and Hemingford, but most of her life was spent in the Decatur area. Survivors include her husband; four children, Gayle Jean Tolliver, of Rockford, IL, Linda Sue Small and Ronald Keith Wanamaker, both of Decatur, and Edmund Duane Wanamaker, of Wayne; parents, Mr. and Mrs. William McAllister of Decatur; brothers, William and Paul McAllister, of Sioux City, IA and Don McAllister of Branson, MO; one sister, Louise Serbeck, of Omaha, and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Kenneth Wilson, Vic Webster, Harold Bacon, Gerald bacon, Hiram Miller and George Brewer. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Decatur.
