Pauline was born in Imperial, Nebraska. She moved to the Puyallup Valley at the age of seven, and lived there for the rest of her life. For 31 years Pauline served as a bank teller with Sea First National Bank and later Bank of America. She is survived by her husband Larry Kent Gilbert. Pauline immensely enjoyed their anniversary event with daughters Charleen (Dusty) Garman of California and Janice (David) Haley of Tacoma and Rancho Santa Fe, California, five grandchildren, and five great-grandsons all in attendance. Pauline's sister Veta (Bob) Belcher resides in Edgewood, and a brother, Duane (Lisa) Goddard, in Spanaway. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, and her beloved son Daniel Kent Gilbert. The family is appreciative of the care given by the Emeritus at the Courtyard (Puyallup) nursing staff. Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1pm at Hill Funeral Home, Puyallup. Graveside service at Sumner Cemetery will immediately follow. Memorial donations in Pauline's name may be made to Pierce County AIDS Foundation, Tacoma.
