Not sure if they are the same person. **************************** Ottumwa Courier, December 19, 1944 Pearl Rowland, 79-year-old retired Morrell employee, died at his home, 103 North Birch street, today at 7:55 a.m. The son of Jerome B. and Sarah Rowland, he was born July 14, 1871, in New London. He was employed by John Morrell & Co. here for approximately 27 years, retiring in 1941. Mr. Rowland is survived by three sons, Clifford of Bloomfield route 3, Amber of Chicago and Arthur of Unionville, Mo., route 1; one daughter, Mrs. Voil Wagner of Chicago; eight step-children, LeRoy and Arthur Ruby, Mrs. Icephene Smith, Mrs. Josephine McElroy, Mrs. Zella Pappaducas, Mrs. Opal Major and Mrs. Bertha Ryan, all of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Goldie Coble of Hedrick. His first wife, Hettie and a second wife preceded him in death. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending the completion of arrangements. ***************** Funeral services for Pearl Rowland, 79,of 103 North Birch street, who died at his home Tuesday morning, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. W.B. Friend of the Pentecostal Church of God. Burial will be in the Christian Ladies Aid cemetery at Cincinnati, Iowa. Mr. Rowland is survived by his wife, Flo; four children and eight step-children. ************************ Children are: 1) Clifford Jerome Rowland, born Mar 13, 1900 in Cincinnati, IA. 2) Amber (male) Rowland, born about 1904 in Missouri. 3) Viola Lorene Rowland, born Jul 1, 1906 in Cincinnati, IA. 4) Arthur S Rowland, born March 17, 1910 in Cincinnati, Iowa.
