Paul Grandon officiating. Interment was in Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield, Iowa. Pearl Ethel England was born December 6, 1899 at Tingley, Iowa, Ringgold County to Joe and Margaret Shay England. Routh were held Monday, Oct. 29, 1990 at the United Methodist Church in Lenox, Iowa with Rev. Paul Grandon officiating. Interment was in Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield, Iowa. Pearl Ethel England was born December 6, 1899 at Tingley, Iowa, Ringgold County to Joe and Margaret Shay England. She departed this life on October 27, 1990 at Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 21 days. As a young girl she moved with her family to a farm north of Clearfield. She married Bert A. Routh on June 14, 1919. To this union was born one daughter, Bernadine Lavone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, on January 16, 1981; her parents; six brothers, Sam, Jerry, Ed, Harry, Elmer and Walter, and one sister, Gladys Routh. She is survived by one sister Mary Baker of Mitchellville, Iowa; daughter Bernadine; son-in-law J.E. Ecklin; four grandchildren, Johnny and wife Kathy, Judy and husband Ed Brewster, Joan and husband Stanley Mattes, Jerry and wife Tina; eight great-grandchildren, Allen, Sarah, Julie, Janet, Jenna, Dana, Chelsea and Jared; many nieces and nephews. As a young girl she was united with the Calvary Methodist Church and at its closing she moved her membership to the Clearfield and later to Lenox. She always lived in the Clearfield area having lived on their home farm for 49 years before retiring and moved into Lenox. She spent the last eight years in the home of her daughter. One of her greatest joys was watching her great grandchildren.
