Pearl J Fowler Ross, daughter of Martin and Mary Fowler, was born Aug. 8, 1881 in Decatur Twp, Decatur County Iowa, and passed away Jan 21, 1965, in Leon Iowa at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 13 days. Mrs. Ross being of of 10 children, was reared on a farm near Lamoni, was a member of the Elk Chapel Baptist church and attend school in Decatur. Mrs. Ross being of of 10 children, was reared on a farm near Lamoni, was a member of the Elk Chapel Baptist church and attend school in Decatur. She later attended the training school for teachers at Lamoni and taught at various country schools. On Feb. 3, 1907, she was married to Frank Ross. On this union two children were born: John E of Tucson, Ariz. and Pauline, Mrs. Wayne Euritt. Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her husband Frank, Oct. 30, 1947, at the age of 75 and her daughter Pauline, March 30, 1956 at the age of 44. She is survived by her son, John E.; her sister, Mrs. Fannie Marcus, her son-in-law, Wayne Euritt; grandson, Lewis, John, Richard, and James, John and Jerry Euritt; and granddaughters, Rebecca Euritt and Linda Euritt (Mrs. Joseph Hoeschele), as well as 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 23, 1964, at the Stewart Funeral home, Lamoni, Iowa. Interment being at the Elk Chapel Cemetery.
