He was born January 18, 1918, the son of William Pearl and Irene Ota Wilsey Jeffers. He married Anna Louise Hanson on December 9, 1939 in Keokuk, Iowa. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1986. He was employed by Borg-Warner in... Read More	Pearl Junior Jeffers, 84, of Argyle, Iowa, died at 1:16 PM Sunday, November 17, 2002, at Great River Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa. He was born January 18, 1918, the son of William Pearl and Irene Ota Wilsey Jeffers. He married Anna Louise Hanson on December 9, 1939 in Keokuk, Iowa. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1986. He was a farmer and lived most of his life in the Argyle and Keokuk area except for six years during World War II when he lived in California and worked in the shipyards. He was employed by Borg-Warner in Keokuk for 10 years until his retirement. He was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church; the Farm Bureau; and was a regular customer at "One Stop" in Argyle. He enjoyed sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes. He is survived by three children, David Jeffers of Keokuk, William Jeffers of Argyle, Iowa and Christine Vaughn and her husband, Ernie, of New London, Iowa; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Gertrude McCarty of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Mary Elizabeth Case of Long Beach, California, Neva Springer and her husband, Forrest, of Kahoka, Missouri and Joann Evans of Letts, Iowa; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in dearth by his parents; his wife; and a brother, William A. Jeffers during World War II. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 21, 2002, at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk with Rev. John Abraham officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Vincennes, Iowa.
