Her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Clemy Morrison, of Atalissa, and three brothers. John B. Vanhorn, cashier of the Citizens' Savings and Trust company bank atIowa City, Carl Vanhorn of Atalissa, and Ernest Vanhorn of Fallon, Nev., survive her. Iowa City Press-Citizen, June 2, 1920 MRS. TURKLE LAID TO REST John B. Vanhorn, cashier of the Citizens' Savings and Trust company, has been summoned to Atalissa by a message telling of the sad death of his sister, recorded in the Press, last night. His beloved kinswoman, whose end was cruelly unexpected, was Mrs. Pearl Vanhorn Turkle, wife of Earl Turkle. She was 38 years of age, and died at 4 o'clock in the morning after a sudden attack of heart trouble, on Monday, May 31. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Clemy Morrison. of Atalissa; her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Vanhorn; and two sisters. Mrs. Don Hargrave and Mrs. Otis Arnold, all of Atalissa; and three brothers, John B. Vanhorn, Iowa. City; Ernest Vanhorn, Fallon, Nevada; and Carl Vanhorn. Atalissa. Mr. and Mrs. Vanhorn left Iowa City for the shadowed home last evening, and will attend the funeral there today. Mrs. Turkle was well known to many Iowa City friends, and had visited the Vanhorn home here. She was an excellent young woman, whose untimely death will cause much sorrow.
