Description	:	LeRoy, the youngest son of Edmund and Frances (Swann) Farnsworth, came to the McHenry area from Wisconsin around 1917. His oldest sister, Mary (Dolly) and her husband George Greatsinger, and children Gladys and Glenn, came in 1906. Roy married Pearl Greb, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Shannon) Greb, in New Rockford, N.D. on December 11, 1918. They farmed and Pearl taught school for many years. The Farnsworths had three children: Edmund (1919-1921); Bruce (1921-1983); and Veronica (Fay) (1926-1984), who married James Davison and had three children. P. 113. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, McHenry for Pearl L. Farnsworth, 90. She died Saturday at City Hospital in New Rockford. Rosary was at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church in McHenry. Interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, McHenry. Pearl Laura Greb ws born October 25, 1893 in Tiffany Township, Eddy County, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ellen Greb. She grew up and attended school in Cherry Lake Township and McHenry and attended Valley City Teachers College. On December 11, 1918 she married Roy Farnsworth at New Rockford and they lived on a farm near McHenry. Mrs. Farnsworth taught school for many years and retired in 1956. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served on the school and township boards. Mr. Farnsworth died February 10, 1961. Survivors include one daughter, Veronica Davidson, Colorado Springs, Co.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; one sister, Ethel VanSteenvoort of Devils Lake.
