Description	:	Pearl Maxine Hiner, 80, of Ellensburg passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Royal Vista Care Center. She was born February 24, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Bert and Verda (Postle) Flanagan. Pearl and her family came to the Kittitas Valley when she was just a child to work the farms. Shortly after graduation from Kittitas High School she began work as a teller at the National Bank of Commerce (U.S. Bank). Read More	Pearl Maxine Hiner, 80, of Ellensburg passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Royal Vista Care Center. She was born February 24, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Bert and Verda (Postle) Flanagan. Pearl and her family came to the Kittitas Valley when she was just a child to work the farms. Shortly after graduation from Kittitas High School she began work as a teller at the National Bank of Commerce (U.S. Bank). She loved her job and served the community well, however illness forced an early retirement. Pearl and Donavan "Don" Hiner married May 23, 1948. She was a loving wife and mother, in a time when working mothers were a rarity. Pearl had boundless energy, quiet strength, and a wonderful sense of humor. She was dedicated to family and her job, and was admired and respected by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by parents; her sister, Opal (Ray) Miller and her husband, Don. She was survived by her three sons, Larry (Mary Lou Marks), Mike and Randy (Jonna Wheeler). She had two step-grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. Mom will be greatly missed. Inurnment will be at I.O.O.F Cemetery, with a memorial to follow at a later date.
