Description	:	Mrs. Pearl Tiedeman, age 82, of Hull, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 20, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 23, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Hall. The Rev. Gerald Aamot officiated. Interment followed at the church cemetery under the direction of the Oolman Funeral Home of Hull. Read More	Mrs. Pearl Tiedeman, age 82, of Hull, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 20, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. Interment followed at the church cemetery under the direction of the Oolman Funeral Home of Hull. Pearl Margaret was born January 21, 1919, at Hull, the daughter of Barney and Hattie (Brunsting) Westra. She was baptized in her youth and confirmed in 1937. On October 7, 1936, she married Lawrence Tiedeman at Hull. They farmed northeast of Hull until his unexpected death on November 25, 1968, at Hull. In 1969, she moved to Hull, where she was employed at De Jong and Vander Schaaf hardware and the Boyden-Hull School. She became a resident of the Valley Manor in Rock Valley in 1998. Mrs. Tiedeman was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aid and the church choir. She also served as a Sunday School teacher. Her pride and joy was worshipping her Lord and Savior and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting with her friends. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters and four sons and their spouses, Darlene and Harold A. Sohl, of Hull; Harold and Margery Tiedeman, of Pocahontas, Iowa; Carol and Ron Flynn, of Mesa, Arizona; Ronald and Phyllis Tiedeman, of Hull; Leroy and Christie Tiedeman, of Hull; and James and Kim Tiedeman, of Orange City; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen greatgrandchildren; a brother-in-law, John De Boer; and two sisters-in-law, Marge Westra and Angeline Tiedeman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Christopher Sheehan; three sisters, and two brothers. Siouxland Press 2001-07-25.
