Description	:	News has been received here of the death of Mrs. Pearl Mounce Porter, the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Francis Mounce, early settlers in Linn Co. Mrs Porter passed away at her home in Montclair, New Jersey on June 25. Death was caused by a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted by the Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine. She was a past worthy high priestess of the latter organization. The body was cremated and her ashes will be brought to Iowa for interment in the Green's Grove... Mrs Porter is survived by two half brothers, Guy Mounce of Manitou, OK and Hall Mounce of McLain, TX, a half-sister Mrs Nan (Roy) Bartlett OF Sunland, CA, two nieces, Mrs Everett Broadus of Cedar Rapids and Pauline Ragsdal of Kansas City, MO.
