Ordway, 64, died suddenly at her home Sunday evening. She was born in Hartland July 9, 1882, the daughter of Milford and Caroline (Gethell) Russell, and lived here all of her life except for 10 years in Warren and several in Pittsfield. She was a member of Ivy chapter, O.E.S. of Warren, The Busy Bees of the Baptist church here, and a former member of the Rebekahs. She is survived by her husband J. Albert Ordway; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Smith of St. Albans; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from the Baptist church Wednesday at 2 o'clock with Rev. Garnet Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove cemetery. (Bangor Daily News, Tuesday, 10 December 1946, p10)
