She was born in Appanoose County near Iconium, Iowa, February 17, 1870, to Benjamin Albert and Rosella Penelope (Duncan) Christie. Read More	Obituary courtesy of Josee (#47423718) Pearlie Tarbell Christie, age 75 years, four months, of Whitman, Nebr., died of a heart ailment at the home of her son, John L Christie, in Alliance, Nebr., Sunday June 17, 1945. She was born in Appanoose County near Iconium, Iowa, February 17, 1870, to Benjamin Albert and Rosella Penelope (Duncan) Christie. At an early age she united with the Christian Church and has continued to be a faithful member. She was married to Henry Allen Christie, April 10, 1892. They made their home in the same community until they moved to Whitman, Nebr. April 29, 1912. To this union were born five children, Harry Allen, who died at the age of three years, Elva Mae Dykes of Morrill, Nebr., Jessie Myrtle Hansen of Richland, Wash., John Leslie Christie of Alliance and Arthur Wayne Christie of Mullen, Nebr. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, five of whom are at present serving in the Armed Forces of this country. Also six great granddaughters; and three sisters (Bertha McCloud, Ethel Wetmore and Vanchie Tarbell) and two brothers (Frank and Charles Tarbell), all still reside Iowa. Pearlie was past grand member of the Golden Link Rebekah Lodge number 337, of Whitman, Nebr. A faithful helper in all community gatherings and will be mourned by a host of loyal friends. Her selection of songs, were "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Abide with Me." The services were conducted by Rev. Earnest G Larson. Burial was in Whitman Cemetery, beside her late husband, Henry, on June 19, 1945.
