OBIT: Peder Arthur Pedersen, 61, Denmark District farmer died yesterday afternoon at the Ellensburg General Hospital. He was born August 19, 1898 and graduated from Kittitas High School and from Washington State College in 1921 with a degree in agriculture. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraterntiy. He was born August 19, 1898 and graduated from Kittitas High School and from Washington State College in 1921 with a degree in agriculture. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraterntiy. A past assistant county agent, Mr. Pedersen was active in 4-H club work, had served on the board of directors of the Denmark Hall, was a past president of the Denmark Farm Bureau and helped organize the Denmark Fire Department. He served also as president of the Kittitas County Farm Bureau and was chairman of the State Farm Bureau Resolutions Board. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Pedersen is survived by his wife Lola Harris Pedersen who he married in Ellensburg, July 30, 1927, two daughters, Katherine and Karoline Pedersen, all of Ellensburg, a brother Elmer Pedersen of Seattle, six sisters: Mrs. James [Clara] Kay, Kittitas; Mrs. Harold [Anna] Cleman, Ellensburg; Mrs. Fay [Ellenora] Otey of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. William [Mary] Henry, Oswego, Ore.; Mrs. Louise Dorland, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Walter [Bessie] Zelten of Tacoma. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the Evenson Chapel with the Rev. Silas Erickson officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
