Description	:	Mrs. John Den Otter died at her home in Volga South Dakota on Thursday March fifth of pneumonia at the age of thirtyseven years. Deceased was a daughter of Mrs. Groeneveld of Sioux Center and was born in the Netherlands January sixth 1871. She came to the United States with her parents in the early seventies and lived in Wisconsin until 1879 when the family came to Sioux county. Read More	Mrs. John Den Otter died at her home in Volga South Dakota on Thursday March fifth of pneumonia at the age of thirtyseven years. Deceased was a daughter of Mrs. Groeneveld of Sioux Center and was born in the Netherlands January sixth 1871. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James De Pree from the First Reformed church at Sioux Center on Saturday March seventh and interment was made in the cemetery there. There were present from abroad at the funeral Mr. and Mrs, Arie Den Otter and B. Van Maanen from Volga. The three children - ranging in age from eight to thirteen years- mourn with the father over her seemingly untimely death. The mother Mrs. Groeneveld still resides at Sioux Center—also two sisters Mesdames G. Schuiteman and J. Vander Schaaf. Alton Democrat 1908-03-14.
