Due to her disabilities she spent a good share of her life living at Rem in Shelby, Iowa. She did work in Avoca for a number of years. When she was younger she participated in the Special Olympics. In 2015, she became a resident at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, Iowa. Peggy enjoyed music, soda pop, tea, baby dolls and stuffed animals. She enjoyed rocking in a rocking chair. She liked to keep her hands busy and would tie shoestrings over and over. She also loved to tell secrets and flirt with the guys. Peggy died on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan at the age of 61 years, nine months and 11 days. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Neil Donn. She is survived by her sister, Linda Dalton and Kevin Pekas of Omaha, Nebraska; two nieces, Jill Mrsny and Sara Hawkins and Jason Peterson all of Omaha, Nebraska; two great nieces, Hannah Malone and Nikia McBride; great great niece, Freyah Carbajal. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Woodbine Cemetery. ---
