Description	:	Peggy Jane Sidener-Hansen, 79, of Abilene, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 30th, at Abilene Memorial Hospital. Peggy was born in Abilene, Kansas on February 22, 1936, to the late Ethel E. (Schumann) and Floyd H. Funston. She was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Solomon High School. Peggy served as the secretary for the Solomon Alumni Association for many years. Read More	Peggy Jane Sidener-Hansen, 79, of Abilene, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 30th, at Abilene Memorial Hospital. Peggy was born in Abilene, Kansas on February 22, 1936, to the late Ethel E. (Schumann) and Floyd H. Funston. She was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Solomon High School. Peggy served as the secretary for the Solomon Alumni Association for many years. Peggy was the wife of Carl M. Hansen. They were married on April 15, 2006 in Abilene. She was formerly married to Delmar G. Sidener. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2003. Survivors include her husband, Carl; daughters, Cindy (Jerry) Robertson, of Salina, Kansas, Lynette (Rojelio) Delgado, of St. Peters, Missouri, and Julie (Stan) Stratton, of Crystal City, Missouri; sons, Jerald T. Sidener, of Salina, Douglas (Leschia) Sidener, of Meriden, Kansas; step-daughter, Kelly E. (Curt) Conyers, of Pleasanton, California; step-son, Jeff C. Hansen, of Abilene, Kansas; step-nephew, Craig (Susan) Gahlbeck, of Fair Oaks, California; as well as 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Peggy is preceded in death by her first husband, Delmar Sidener; brother, Curt Funston; and sister, Donna Kirchhofer. Memorial services will be held at Abilene First United Methodist Church, at 10:00 am on Friday, December 4th, with Pastor J. Collins officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Prairie Mound Cemetery Solomon, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Solomon Alumni Association or to the Salina Rescue Mission; and may be sent in care of the funeral home. (Salina Post)
