On July 12, 1980 she married Kenneth I. 'Kenny' Hanes, who passed on April 12, 2007. Peggy graduated from Elida High School and was a homemaker. Peggy and Ken were foster parents to 513 children. No public services or visitations are planned. Private graveside services held in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.
