Mrs. Gaskins was born the daughter of Liston Bowford Johnson and Rozine “Boots” Haselden Johnson on September 18, 1953 in Georgetown. She was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, and a loyal friend. She leaves behind: four children, Norman E. (Amber Baughm) Benfield, Peggy L. She also leaves behind: two brothers, Billy J. (Sheryl) Johnson and Liston Curtis (Rita) Johnson; and five sisters, Rose Moore, Sara Johnson, Tangie (Ralph Lamar) Self, Fran (Dixie Moore) Johnson, Suzette (David “Red”) Fowler. She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, James A. Johnson; and a brother-in-law, Leroy Moore. A Home Going Celebration will be 2PM, Monday, May 28, 2018 at The Christian Fortress. Visitation will follow immediately after the service in the church sanctuary. Burial directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow at 5PM at North Hampton Baptist Church Cemetery. McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gaskins Family.
