EppsFORT MILL - Mrs. Peggy Medora McCallister Epps, 78, of Fort Mill, S.C., died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Robin Epps. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Larry Twitty officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Born in Fort Mill, Mrs. Epps was a daughter of the late George Roy McCallister and Mattie Kate Tindall McCallister. She graduated from Fort Mill High School and Winthrop University. Mrs. Epps began her career as the secretary to the Chairman of the Board for Belk Department Stores and retired as bookkeeper from the Fort Mill School District. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she was a former pre-school Sunday school teacher and was on the decorating committee. Mrs. Epps was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed playing the piano, singing, reading, gardening and arranging flowers. Surviving are her beloved husband of 58 years, DuBreil Huey Epps; two sons, Keith D. (Ziza) Epps and Roy E. (Robin) Epps, all of Fort Mill; her sister, Mary M. Whitesides of York; three grandchildren, Lucas, DuBreil and Melanie Epps, all of Fort Mill; and two sisters-in-law, Jane Watkins and Doris Lee. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Sutton Epps. The family wishes to thank Mrs. Epps' caregiver, Frances Hart for her love and care. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Wolfe Funeral Home.
