Description	:	Perce Baker Perce H. Baker, 91, longtime Libby resident, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the Libby Care Center. He was born at Cass Lake, Minn., on April 26, 1914, to Louis and Emma Baker. Raised and educated at Libby, Perce graduated from Libby High School with the Class of 1934. Baker, 91, longtime Libby resident, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the Libby Care Center. He was born at Cass Lake, Minn., on April 26, 1914, to Louis and Emma Baker. Raised and educated at Libby, Perce graduated from Libby High School with the Class of 1934. While attending Eastern Washington University at Cheney, Perce was an active participant with the Intercollegiate Knights. A musician, Perce played saxophone in dance orchestras while in college and at Libby. He married Betty Hargreaves on Nov. 30, 1941, at Libby. Employed by J. Neils Lumber Company and later St. Regis, Perce worked in the box factory, the planer and parts departments, and later in the company office, operating the office printing shopfrom 1954-1968. In the early 1960's he also established Libby Litho, a print shop on Mineral Avenue, that he operated until retirement. Perce enjoyed bowling and golfing, and in earlier years, fishing and bird hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 1990, and by brothers Sylvester, Louis Jr., Walter, Clarence and Burton. Survivors include his children, Kent Baker and his wife Mary-Ann, Libby; Kathy Bengtson and her husband Gordon, Thompson Falls, and Kim Baker and his wife Arlene, Kauai, Hawaii; sister Leah Clough and her husband Art, Libby, brothers Ben Baker and his wife Mildred, Libby, and Victor Baker and his wife Madelaine, Kalispell, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. on Friday. Memorials may be made to Libby Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 777, Libby, MT 59923.
