Once again a shadow has fallen on one of the homes of this community and death claimed a wife and mother. The community was shocked and saddened on last Tuesday morning when the death of Mrs. Robert Latimer was known. Permilia Farabee was born February 8, 1866 near Jefferson City, Mo., and passed away at her home, 423 North Street, Iola, Kans., November 26, 1946, being 80 years, 9 months, 15 days old. On January 26, 1889, she was united in marriage to Robert Latimer. To this union 13 children were born. She leaves to mourn her death a kind and devoted husband, Robert Latimer; ten children, five sons. Burnie of Colony, Roscoe of Pueblo, Colo., Earl of Hoisington, Treat, Iola, Homer, Santa Monica and five daughters, Mrs. Lora Dietrich, Piqua, Mrs. Katie Watson, Iola, Mrs. Pearl Percy, Iola, Mrs. Nannie Remmert, Parsons, Mrs. Edna Gregg, Hoisington, Kans.: three chidren having preceded her in death, one brother, Thomas Farabee, Henriette, Mo.: 43 grandchildren living, 15 great grandchildren living.
