The deceased lived with his son C. D. Brown near Numa Appanoose Co. Iowa. His wife preceded him fifteen years ago, also two daughters. He leaves two sons, 17 grand children and nine great grand children. His death was caused by a broken limb, his illness being short but severe, suffering but three days. New York and died October 24 1906, aged 83 years and 4 days. The deceased lived with his son C. D. Brown near Numa Appanoose Co. Iowa. His wife preceded him fifteen years ago, also two daughters. He leaves two sons, 17 grand children and nine great grand children. His death was caused by a broken limb, his illness being short but severe, suffering but three days. The funeral was held at the home conducted by Rev. Collier. The remains were laid to rest in the Numa cemetery. The deceased was also a soldier in the civil war being in Co. E. 2nd Regiment Iowa Infantry.
