Read More	OBITUARY The Greenville News (SC) - Monday, February 15, 1960, Page 5 EASLEY, SC - Perry D. Masters, 80, died Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at his home on Glenwood Road, Route 1, Easley, after eight years of declining heaklth and two months of illness. He was a son of the late Ben Masters and Pamelia Patterson Matters and a native of Greenville County. He had lived in Pickens County most of his life. He was a retired farmer, member of the Roanoke Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class. He was married twice, first to Miss Mamie Williams, who died 14 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva Baker Masters; three sons, A. F. Masters of Easley, James Masters of Gaffney and Willie E. Masters of Easley; four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Ross of Marion, North Carolina, Mrs. Ethel McCauley of Columbia and Mrs. Carl Roper and Mrs. Reuhl McCollum of Easley; 34 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five brothers, W. H. Masters and Amon Masters of Augusta, Georgia, Andrew Masters of Greenville, D. R. Masters of Easley and Freeman Masters of Pickens, and two sisters, Mrs. Eunie Allen of Augusta and Mrs. O. A. Hopkins of Greer. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m, at Smith Chapel Wesleyan Methodist Church by the Rev. Dewey Lewis, the Rev. Jim Lewis, the Rev. W. S. Allred, the Rev. J. B. Grant and the Rev. Cecil Duncan. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry McCauley, Bill McCollum, Wallace Roper, Samuel Masters, Jackie Ross and Lynn Ross. Escort of honor will be the Men's Bible Class of the Roanoke Baptist Church, the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Glenwood and John Sloan, Lawrence Porter, J. E. Pitts Sr., the Rev. Wyatt League, Frank Robinson, J. W. McCollum, J. T. Carman, Walker Roper, Ernest McCall, Jake Cannon, Johnny Patton, Minor Smith, Clyde Hamby, Elihu Pickens, Felton Lesley, Sam Stansell, Gene Roberts, Harold Looper, H. K. Bell, T. F. Whitmire, Obie Bolding, C. E. Cater, R. C. McCall Sr., Joe Edens, Paul Dodgens, Larry Dodgens, Claude Baker, the Rev. Carl Holcombe, Frank Finley, Vernon Golightly, the Rev. Carl Ellenburg, Andy Bagwell, G. B. Christopher, Ed Stokes, K. C. Moore, Ralph Stewart and Herbert Nix. The body is at Robinson Funeral Home and will be at the home of a son, A. F,. Masters, after 10 a.m. Monday.
